My Role: Shot List, Choreography, Wardrobe & Direction Filmed & edited by AgencyX

  • Create a video to promote a signature event that will (1) increase client retention by creating a sense of excitement and community spirit among existing members, and (2) attract new customers by showcasing the studio as a welcoming and vibrant fitness community.

  • A vibrant, energetic and nostalgic music video with a just a touch of comedy. Incorporate upbeat 80s music, visuals and references to leverage nostalgia and fun as a way to showcase a unique and enjoyable fitness experience.

    1. Using my dance background, I choreographed an upbeat routine infused with Pilates props & elements.

    2. I incorporated retro 80s references in the outfits, accessories, video style, and shot list.

    3. Wrote 80s-themed lines for the video teasers with retro slang.

    4. Lastly, I directed the video team and talent on location the day of the shoot.

Vernon Davis

My Role: Concept, Shot List, Direction & Some Editing Filmed & edited by in-house graphics team

  • Showcase Vernon Davis, professional athlete and television host, trying Pilates for the first time.

  • Collaborating with my in-house graphic design team, we came up with the series “Famous First Impressions”, which would showcase different celebrities trying Pilates for the first time, and their unique experience.

Clients practice Pilates for several different reasons, so with Vernon, we wanted to highlight the restorative properties for people who may be highly active in sports or weight training, as well as the challenge that Pilates can provide to some smaller, supporting muscles - busting the myths that Pilates is “easy” or “just for women”.

The goal was to increase brand awareness through this celebrity partnership, but also to appeal to a new audience who may not have thought Pilates was for them.

    1. To play on his football background, we decided Vernon would be “tackling his core” with Pilates.

    2. We came up with a story arch that began with him meeting a Master Trainer at the studio and ending with his final thoughts on the experience.

    3. I came up with a shot list to showcase that although he is a very fit individual and has tried many forms of fitness, Pilates challenges his body in ways that he has never experienced before.

    4. At the shoot, I directed two videographers, one photographer, Vernon and the trainer.
